Preparing Learners for Real Workplace Dilemmas

June 12, 2026

This webinar focuses on discussing the implementation of simulation-based learning at the University of North Texas at Dallas to prepare students for real workplace dilemmas and career readiness. Ken Spero from SchoolSims moderates a panel discussion with Sam Anderson (Director of Experiential Learning), Kenne’ Johnson (Program Manager, Conrad Leadership Program), and Dr. Kimberly Riddick (Director of Student Leadership & Success) about their collaboration to develop workplace simulations that align with NACE competencies.

The team discusses how simulations provide safe spaces for students to practice professional skills, make decisions in ambiguous situations, and receive feedback before entering actual workplace environments. They share insights about co-creating simulations with student interns using AI technology, and emphasize the value of allowing students to experience different approaches to problem-solving.

The webinar concludes with a live demonstration of the Team Accountability simulation, where participants experience making decisions as a team leader dealing with a struggling team member named Jordan.

SchoolSims provides dynamic, simulation-based professional development for educators and school leaders in public, private, and independent schools, as well as for future educators in colleges and universities. Our simulations present real-world leadership challenges through interactive, decision-based scenarios, leveraging AI-driven insights and live-action elements. By engaging in these experiences, learners refine their decision-making skills, bridge the gap between theory and practice, and enhance their ability to lead in complex educational environments.
